Randstad is currently working with a locally owned transport and freight company, transporting general & commercial freight local and interstate across the east coast of Australia.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Depot Manager to take ownership of the daily operations of the Brisbane depot and QLD transport operations. We are looking for a leader who is able to take on the role of leading, supporting and contributing to a growing depot while reporting directly to the owner. Duties include:Daily running of the depot, managing and coordinating daily freight movements for both local and interstate runs and transitions.Striving for client growth and attraction of new clienteleProving accurate quotes for current and new businessManaging the loading and unloading of trucks(Jumping in an being hands on when needed)Employee delegation, supervision, mentoring & discipline Investigation of variances & stock issuesClient engagement both internal & externalMonitor, implement & adjust stock control measuresMonitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with policies & procedures, WHS and government regulations.
