Randstad is on the lookout for an Agile Business Analyst to support the product owner with developing personas, journeys, epics and user stories. You will be working for a busy software development team working on exciting projects for a well-known government agency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Take responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change
  • Developing information to refine user stories in the product backlog
  • Identify broader business impacts of implementing the new applications and applying new features to existing applications
  • Partner with domain architects to ensure the translation of business needs into functional definition is achieved
  • Apply and monitor the use of modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards
  • Use design tools (such as wireframes) to evolve rapid prototypes and assess the viability of design concepts.

To succeed in this role you have:

  • At least 7 years experience working as a Business Analyst with at least 5 years in an Agile environment
  • Experience working on large enterprise IT programs including software development, product implementation, systems integration, and business process reengineering.
  • A working knowledge of Atlassian products such (JIRA & Confluence)
  • Experience in writing user stories and interface specification contracts
  • Visio and PowerPoint
  • Stakeholder management experience, strong influencing and negotiation skills is key
  • Experience playing the SCRUM Master role.
  • Data analysis and problem solving
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a complex integrated systems environment
