Information Officer

  • Competitive salary
  • CBD location - close to public transport

In this role the officer will process all incoming. This includes receiving, recording and distributing incoming telephone enquiries, notifications by fax and post, and, filing records and general administrative support for communicable program.

You will be

  • Able to work well as part of a team

Accountabilities

  1. Timely and accurate entry of notifications
  2. Answer and direct telephone enquiries.
  3. Provide administrative support for the program.
  4. Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  5. Provide guidance for others in the work area.
  6. Take initiative to recommend process and system improvements to be applied for the local work area.
  7. Contribute to operational service delivery policy and process development.

Knowledge and skills

  1. Service excellence: aims to exceed targets; sets personal standards of excellence and measures outcomes against them; strives to deliver outcomes in a timely manner;
  2. Advanced computer skills: uses a wide range of software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets
