Administration/Project Support Officer

Our government clients based in the northern and western suburbs of Melbourne are currently seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Administration/Project Support Officers to assist in delivering the department’s administration and business support functions, and support the implementation of key organisational projects and activities.

Working as an Administration/Project Officer you will be tasked with, but not limited to;

  • Support, develop, coordinate and manage projects aimed at implementing the councils key objectives
  • Develop and maintain networks and partnerships with key stakeholders within the public and private sectors to assist in the facilitation of project outcomes
  • Coordinate and support business and community consultation and engagement activities
  • Identify future funding opportunities and develop business cases/ funding submissions
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators associated with role & associated projects
  • Providing department-wide administrative support to the Executive Manager and department staff across the business performance, corporate planning and reporting, insurance, risk, business continuity and continuous improvement functions of the Organisational Performance department
  • Administering Council’s corporate planning, performance and reporting systems (and supporting software) through data collation, data entry, report production, system maintenance, and providing support to users/suppliers to assist with the collation of data and information
  • Organise meetings and conferences including arranging venues, catering, sending invitations, and preparation of agendas and meeting documentation.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 1-2 years experience with in an administration role
  • Previous experience working within the local, state or federal government sector is preferred but not essential
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service within a fast paced environment
  • Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work within a team as well as independently
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Initiative and confidence to tackle any task given to you
  • Strong computer literacy skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite, and ability to work with specialised databases
