Randstad has recently been voted Recruiter of the Year in Australia and is a preferred supplier across local, state and federal government. We are proud to currently be partnering with State Government clients located across Brisbane in recruiting for Business Support positions.

Randstad is currently seeking applications for experienced Administration Officers to join our State Government clients who are based across Brisbane. These roles are full time hours, temporary contracts and applicants need to be able to start with minimal notice.

The ideal candidate must not only have strong experience in administration but also worked within a Government Department.

Your New Position

As an Administration Officer, your responsibilities can include:

  • Provide administration support to the office
  • General phone and reception support
  • Management of email and appointment bookings
  • Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Redirecting calls to the right teams/departments
  • Assist with coordination of office events
  • Redirecting visitors, clients and customers
  • Offering general admin and office support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying
  • Data entry and scanning of documents
  • Place orders for office supplies
  • Mail sorting

Your Skills and Experience

To be considered for these roles you would have skills & experience in the following:

  • Eligibility to work full-time in Australia
  • Previous government experience is preferred
  • Achieve results with minimal supervision
  • Have high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Previous experience working within a similar role
  • Well presented and excellent face to face manner
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Strong email and written skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Reliable and own transport
