job description

Working closely with the manager, this role calls for a competent administrator with a can-do-attitude and high attention to detail to assist with all administration and customer service. Work full time hours across a Monday to Friday roster starting at 6am each day -have the afternoon off!

The role:

  • Be the first point of contact for all customer and staff
  • Promptly respond to phone, email or other service enquiries
  • Communicate respectfully with all individuals including clients and their carer’s, staff, volunteers and the community
  • Provide administrative support to the Manager and other staff as required
  • Provide support to Volunteers as required
  • Undertake clerical duties including mail distribution, maintaining correspondence logs, photocopying and filing
  • Update and maintain client and volunteer databases including process Police Checks for staff and volunteers
  • Design and produce daily run sheets and daily orders for kitchen staff
  • Assist with communication initiatives with Clients, Volunteers and other stakeholders
  • Receive payments and follow up outstanding debtors outside accepted terms
  • Identify and report to the Service Manager any area for potential improvement to operations
  • Participate in education and training opportunities
  • Adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, standards and practices
  • Undertake other duties as reasonably directed by the Service Manager /Management Committee

Your Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in administration
  • Knowledge and experience in an aged care, not for profit and/or Member Service focused environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Current Police Check Certificate (or willing to obtain one)
  • Hold a current Driver’s licence
