Provide your already developed administration skills to successfully support a pool of lawyers in the timely completion of cases.

Client –

Based in Melbourne CBD, our client falls within the Federal Government sector with multiple offices across Australia. They are responsible for the independent prosecution of alleged offenses relating to Commonwealth Law whilst ensuring the continuous safety and fair decision making for Australians. Their Melbourne office is comprised of multiple lawyers providing legal advice and prosecution services in the most effective and ethical manner.

Role –

We are currently seeking Administration Support to provide assistance to a pool of lawyers operating out of the Melbourne office. You will be required to provide a high level of daily administration with the overall goal being to contribute too the achievement of the work group’s objectives. You will be expected to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, building rapport and maintaining a collaborative working environment. The role is based within a team environment, but includes a high degree of autonomy with the completion and direction of tasks the sole responsibility of the individual. A successful candidate for this role would possess an extremely high level of initiative, taking full responsibility for the accurate completion of work in a timely manner.

Duties –

The duties of this position and inclusive but not limited to –

  • Creation and administration of case files;
  • High level of photocopying and filing;
  • Data entry;
  • Records management;
  • Drafting of documents including the preparation of case materials;
  • Case liaison including the interaction with prosecutors, internal and external;
  • Undertaking basic research, utilizing online tools.

Ideal Candidate –

  • Must be an Australian Citizen;
  • Must be willing to undergo a minimum Baseline Security Clearance;
  • Ability to withstand a high work load under pressure with strict deadlines;
  • Possess an enthusiastic, motivating attitude;
  • Must have previous experience in Administration positions;
  • Previous experience within a busy legal, professional environment will be highly advantageous.
