Your New Company/Role:
As an established and reputable multinational organization, my client is looking for an 3 x experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join their growing team, due to their remarkable track record and growth in their business. This is a permanent full time position for the right candidate who is eager to grow in their career and within the accounting industry.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Financial Accountant who is nurturing and encourages professional growth to aid in your career progression, your main responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- Receipting and allocating payments
- Raising invoices
- Data entry
- Some collections element of outstanding payments
- Reconciliations of accounts
- Month end duties
- Uploading bank statements and posting bank journals entries
- Review of aged debtors and taking right actions
- Work through dispute resolution, investigate and resolve AR exceptions in a timely manner
- Generate and prepare appropriate reports to higher management
- Developing new processes and procedures, in line with appropriately communicated goals and strategies
- Provide assistance to AP as and when required
- Assist with any ad hoc projects/duties as assigned
- Continuous process improvement
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within end-to-end Accounts Receivable and some exposure to accounting duties with an Accounting background. You will also bring:
- Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or similar area
- Prior experience of end-to-end AR functions (2+ years)
- Exposure to working in a medium to large organisation
- Experience using multiple accounting software packages - SAP (ideal but not mandatory)
- Ability to work autonomously and handle work with accountability
- High attention to detail
- Speed and accuracy needed
- Intermediate Excel proficiency
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
