Accounts Payable Officer

• 9-day fortnight & 35 hour week
• 6 month fixed term contract

Are you an experienced Finance Officer / Accounts Payable Clerk with a passion for accuracy and efficiency? We are currently seeking a Finance Officer (Accounts Payable) on a 6-month fixed-term contract within a local government organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payments for goods and services in line with procurement policies
• Ensure all tax invoices are accurately entered and authorised for payment
• Verify creditor details, including ABN and tax registration, and process any updates
• Handle internal and external queries related to payments
• Administer petty cash and corporate credit card transactions
• Assist with data entry for payroll

Essential Criteria:

• Certificate III in Financial Services, Business Administration, or relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience in accounts payable
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Team player with a high level of attention to detail
• Experience working in the public sector is an advantage
