Key Responsibilities:
In this diverse role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Reconciling cash, bank, and General Ledger accounts.
- Processing fortnightly payroll and managing monthly superannuation payments.
- Preparing quarterly Portable Long Service Leave and assisting with creditor payments and debtor invoicing.
- Overseeing the production of monthly financial reports and managing traineeship claims.
- Leading, developing, and supporting the Accounts Coordinator/Receivable Officer.
- Assisting with WorkCover processes, annual financial audits, and compliance with financial statutory requirements.
- Ensuring the accuracy and timely execution of month-end procedures, including general ledger reconciliations and journal adjustments.
- Providing advice and training on financial and payroll systems, and maintaining documented processes and procedures.
- Collaborating with management to produce financial reporting outcomes and meet specific deadlines.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, or Commerce.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., GST, FBT).
- Experience within the disability services sector (preferred).
- Strong leadership skills and experience overseeing finance teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong business acumen with the ability to manage conflicting demands and deliver high-quality outcomes within strict deadlines.
- Advanced computing skills and experience with financial reporting systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
- Proven ability to maintain financial controls and ensure statutory compliance, especially within the not-for-profit sector.
