As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and Australian Accounting Standards. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to the accurate and timely management of the organisation's financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee data input, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and trust accounts.
- Ensure accurate preparation and reconciliation of payments and receipts via electronic cash books.
- Prepare and process monthly journal reports, ensuring timely financial reporting.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and resolve outstanding items.
- Manage and submit BAS reporting.
- Maintain and update the asset register, including depreciation calculations.
- Support the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.
- Supervise daily financial operations, including overseeing trust accounts and special spend processes.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant accounting qualification with proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
- Experience working with Excel and accounting software (experience with Infinium is a plus).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.

- Applicants must hold a current Australian driver’s licence.
- Successful candidates will need to pass a National Criminal History Check and obtain relevant security clearance.
