    The company/opportunity:

    You will be working for a Leading Publishing and Media Company that strives to be the leading creator of immersive content and experiences. They have been established for over 90 years and are a values based organisation built on respecting all, inspiring creativity and collaboration with others.

    You will be working for the market leader and representing some of the most loved and iconic magazine brands in Australia.


    The Role:

    The Account Manager is primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts and identifying growth opportunities within them and also the acquisition of new accounts.

    Your role will coordinate the resources needed to deliver advertising campaigns and projects, builds strategic operational plans and balances the expectations of clients with the execution of creative work.

    The role also takes the lead on the account ensuring that all possible commercial opportunities including content distribution are being pursued both internally and externally.


    Key responsibilities include:

    • 70% managing and maintaining existing client and agency relationships and 30% new business
    • Initiating and being proactive in new ideas/concepts that will assist in achieving client objectives and new business prospects/opportunities
    • Developing a strategic and commercial Account Plan covering a client from a broader Media perspective
    • Responsible for a designated agency/agencies and ensure budget target is achieved or exceeded
    • Present advertising and promotional solutions that meet the needs and expectations of the agency/client, whilst appropriately representing each of the Brands included

    Skills and experience

    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role working with agencies
    • Highly focussed, results oriented and achieves targets and goals
    • Strong enthusiasm for media and advertising demonstrated through understanding and knowledge of media market
    • Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively negotiate
