Hughes-Castell and Legal Eagles become Randstad Legal

Legal recruitment specialists Hughes-Castell and Legal Eagles announced today they have rebranded to Randstad Legal, a move which will further enhance the specialist service offering and strengthen the Randstad brand in the Asia Pacific region.

Hughes-Castell and Legal Eagles have been part of the global Randstad (formerly Vedior) Group for more than 10 years, and as Randstad Legal, will continue to specialise in the recruitment of temporary, contract and permanent positions, from legal support roles through to senior legal professionals.

Karen Waldock, who has been Director of Hughes-Castell and Legal Eagles for the past nine years, will continue as Director of Randstad Legal with the same team of recruitment professionals in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, PerthAuckland and Wellington.

“Rebranding to Randstad, the world’s second largest specialist recruitment and HR services company, is a strategic move which will allow us to reinforce our market leading position in Australia and New Zealand,” says Karen Waldock, Director of Randstad Legal.

“A group focused on industry best practice and shaping the world of work both locally and globally, Randstad gives us the foundation of sponsorships, marketing and advertising support and industry recognised training and development opportunities for our staff. The depth and breadth of specialisations, and a world-class database management system which our clients will have access to is something we are very excited about.

“We have a 20 year history of providing knowledge-based legal recruitment in a personal and ethical way and we are committed to the same high level of recruitment consulting services as Randstad Legal,” adds Waldock.

Chief Executive Officer of Randstad, Deb Loveridge, welcomes the move to become Randstad Legal, saying that while it may not seem like big news, it will actually benefit all stakeholders.

“We will see processes improving and opportunities increasing for Randstad Legal consultants, which will flow on to benefit clients and legal professionals both here and abroad. For Randstad, this is yet another step forward as the region’s true multi-specialist recruitment and HR services provider.”

The name change for Hughes-Castell and Legal Eagles represents almost 30 specialist recruitment & HR services businesses which have rebranded to Randstad in just over 18 months, following the global acquisition of Vedior and Randstad in July 2008.
